The National WWII Museum Event Recording Available

The recording for my recent virtual “Meet the Author” event for The National WWII Museum is now available. Held in honor of Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day, the conversation explored the history of Gold Star mothers and widows as well as the ways that the women of World War I paved the way for the next generation of women who served in World War II.

Moderator Dr. Stephanie Hinnershitz’s thought-provoking questions made for an engaging conversation that highlighted aspects of my research related to World War II. Dr. Hinnershitz serves as Senior Historian at The National WWII Museum’s Jenny Craig Institute for the Study of War and Democracy. Many thanks to Dr. Hinnershitz and Jeremy Collins, the Institute’s Director of Conferences and Symposia, for hosting me for this meaningful event.
