The Doughboy Foundation recently highlighted the paperback edition of Forgotten Veterans, Invisible Memorials: How American Women Commemorated the Great War, 1917-1945. It shared the news of the paperback’s release in its December 2023 Dispatch newsletter and on its website.
In partnership with the World War I Centennial Commission, the Doughboy Foundation works to “keep faith with the American Doughboy” by leading the ongoing process to create and enhance the National WWI Memorial in Washington, D.C. The Foundation’s work also strives to keep alive the memory of America’s participation in the war.
